Kids Face Mask
Our three layer face mask is made of:
- Two layers of tightly woven cotton.
- One layer of polyethylene.
- Three pleats.
- Adjustable wire for a snug fit around your nose.
- Elastic ear bands, untied.
- Best fits ages 4 to 12.
Homemade masks are great to replace bandanas or can be added on top of N-95 masks to help them last longer.
We recommend washing them in cold or warm water with like colors. Tumble dry low or line dry so as not to melt the filter.
These masks are not FDA-cleared. Please note these are not a replacement for medical grade N95 masks or PPE, but are meant for general public use. Masks do not replace or reduce the necessity to practice social distancing in the fight against COVID-19.
It's not just hospitals that need face masks. The CDC has recommended everyone wear a face covering whenever you're in public. Healthcare workers in other facilities like nursing homes and urgent care centers are also dealing with mask shortages while working with COVID-19 patients. Non-healthcare workers like veterinarians and firefighters are left without face masks and have said they would accept homemade versions.
